Raphael Kivuva is a Volunteer for CorpsAfrica/Kenya’s first cohort. He is currently serving in Rrotian, Narok County. He is a registered, certified, and licensed Dietician Nutritionist practitioner by the Kenya Nutritionists & Dietician Institute and a member of the Kenya Union of Nutritionists and Dieticians (KUNAD).
With a diploma in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition with distinction, as well as a certificate in Community Nutrition from Kenya Medical Training College, class of 2019, he is passionate about helping others achieve their health goals.
He gained valuable experience during his clinical internship at the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, the largest military hospital in Kenya. He has also worked for Kenya Airways as a part-time Dietician consultant and volunteered at Nairobi Metropolitan Hospital and Machakos County Referral Hospital.
Raphael has received training from CorpsAfrica, Red Cross Kenya, KAYA, and Disaster Ready Organizations which focuses on ABCD & HCD, Basic Life Skills, Disaster Response, Mental Health, Conflict resolution, WASH, Project management, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning for Development Professionals, Nutrition Budget Advocacy, SGBV and Personal Security and Safety.
Attending seminars and conferences organized by Young Africa Leaders Initiatives has helped him grow both personally and professionally. He is proud to have received recognition with certificates for his commitment to making a difference in the world.
Raphael is self-motivated, vigilant, and adaptative to a variety of environments. He is open to a wide spectrum of challenges and eager to learn and even comprehend what can be done to make the world a better place than it is now. Raphael believes that being rich is not only about money, but the number of people empowered.
