Ousmane Kane is a young Senegalese community leader currently serving as a CorpsAfrica Exchange Volunteer in Bame (Volta region), a rural community in Ghana. Born and raised in Pikine (Dakar), Ousmane was always passionate about community development and committed to making a positive difference in his community and beyond. It was this passion that led him to pursue a bachelor's degree in Territorial Governance and Local Development at the Institute of Territorial Governance, where he earned a mention in Governance and Planning. Since joining CorpsAfrica, Ousmane has been serving as a Volunteer in Senegal first and currently in Ghana to contribute to the development of the African community. During his service, he worked with community members to identify development opportunities and create an action plan to implement positive projects for the community. Through his dedication and leadership, Ousmane has acquired valuable skills in project management, communication, and collaboration with rural communities. Outside of his volunteer service, Ousmane has a passion for reading and lifelong learning. He got a certificate in IT in March 2023. He is an avid reader of scientific journals and is regularly updated on world news by reading online newspapers such as the Times, Le Monde Diplomatique and Jeune Afrique.
