​Mamadou Sarr is a senior manager with more than 22 years of experience in program management, small business development and institutional capacity building. In 2013, he co-founded Africa Carbon and Commodities, a Senegalese company that specializes in the trade of various commodities and is active in the development of projects throughout Senegal and surrounding West African countries. Prior to that, Mamadou was director of projects in the city of Joal mayor’s office for five years, overseeing and managing all development projects and supervising program staff and Peace Corps Volunteers. He was also the manager of Artisana Fish Port and production director of Senemer. Mamadou holds a Master’s degree in monitoring and evaluation from the Polytechnic University in Turin, Italy and another in human resources management from the University of Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal. Mamadou is married to Nicole Dewing, a former Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Senegal. He is fluent in French, Wolof, Serer, and proficient in English.
