Arstide Karasankimais is from Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Kigali Independent University (ULK). He also has an Advanced Diploma in Entrepreneurship-Economic with Education from the University of Rwanda. After completing his university studies, he served as a teacher for one year facilitating students of Group Scolaire de Gatenga in 2015. Afterward, he went to work for Financial Education and Jobs Creation Center 2016 to work as a Branch Manager where they helped youth to have skills on entrepreneurship. Arstide also worked for Collection Africa (CAL), known as a recovery company dealing with non-performing assets for five years 2016-2021. Throughout his professional experience, he has gained diverse skills from different training such as training from a trauma healing program and a peace education program provided by Association Modeste et Innocent (AMI) in 2009. He participated in a leadership course by Cornerstone Development Rwanda 2012; he participated in Reach Up organized by DOT RWANDA2013. He also participated in both Business Idea and Opportunity Identification and Business Plan Writing by Spark Rwanda and Africa Development Consultant (ADC) in 2014. Arstide participated in several programs organized by Yali Network and in Training on Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship for Creativity and Innovation organized by READ in 2019. He participated in Psych Traumatology for Future Experts organized by Conseil Protestant au Rwanda (CPR) 2021. The same year joined CorpsAfrica/Rwanda known as an International Non-Profit Organization (INGO), that places young people in rural areas with the purpose of facilitating a community-led project, where he participated in several trainings like Human Center Design/ Assets Based Community Development, he also participated Emergency and Disasters Management and First Aid, Gender Promotion and Women empowerment, Protection of Environment for sustainability climate change and biodiversity. And after completing his service in Rwanda he has been chosen to be an exchange volunteer in Malawi to facilitate the change and help them develop new skills & mindsets of the community for them to make a positive and lasting impact on their own. He believes that being CorpsAfrica Volunteer is such a great opportunity for him to serve and be a part of the change he dreamed to see in his country’s community, in Africa, and as well as in the entire world.
