Lucky Roosevelt Katundu is a dynamic young leader who has a passion for community development. Before joining CorpsAfrica, he worked as a Data Analyst at Credit Data CRB in the Operations Department. He also worked as a Sales Consultant with Old Mutual Malawi in the Retail Mass Market Department in Blantyre. In addition, Lucky also worked as a Graduate Intern with Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC), in the Operations Department at its regional office in Limbe, Blantyre. Lucky believes in active citizenship and has a passion for volunteerism. As such, in 2017, he volunteered with International Citizen Service (ICS), for three months in Salima district on an education project aimed at increasing access to education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. His main responsibilities were running peer education, raising awareness, and facilitating Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR). Lucky is also an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Centre Southern Africa Programme Cohort 11, hosted by the University of South Africa, with support from the Mastercard Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He completed training in public management as a young leader committed to transforming Africa in public service delivery. Lucky earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness Management from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Bunda Campus, in 2018. He envisions and believes that CorpsAfrica will provide him with a platform to use his experience and expertise to change the lives of rural communities in Malawi.
