Abraham Birhane is a dedicated educator with a passion for empowering others. He graduated from Addis Ababa University, where he earned two Master’s Degrees in Educational Leadership and Linguistics. With over 20 years of experience in the field of education, Abraham has built a diverse and impactful career.
Having served as a principal in various high and preparatory schools in Addis Ababa, he has always focused on creating engaging learning environments that foster student growth. His commitment to education extends beyond school walls; he also worked as the Head of Foreign Students Affairs at Addis Ababa University, where he supported international students in navigating their new surroundings and enriching their academic experiences.
Abraham’s journey in education also includes more than a decade with the U.S. Peace Corps/Ethiopia. He began as a Language and Culture Facilitator, helping volunteers adapt to local customs and languages, which enhanced their community engagement efforts. Later, he took on the role of Programming and Training Specialist for the Education Sector, where he developed and implemented Training Programs that empowered local educators.
Currently, Abraham serves as the Training Officer/Manager at CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia. In this role, he is dedicated to equipping Volunteers with the skills they need to make a positive impact in the communities they serve. His enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to social development inspire those around him, as he continues to contribute to the sustainable progress of Ethiopia.
