I am a dedicated young man embodying a passion for community development and a commitment to fostering positive change. Cornelius Chidzanja holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation) from DMI-St. John the Baptist University. He has worked with the Ministry of Gender, Community Development, and Social Welfare before joining the CorpsAfrica volunteer program. As an Operations Officer who worked with New Horizon Health Care for 2 years, Communication is key in his managerial role which he strongly believes will be applicable in this role as a volunteer. Driven by a desire to champion better change and improve people’s lives, joining the CorpsAfrica 2024/2025 cohort will help him leverage his skills to create a sustainable impact in underserved rural areas. With his background in community organization and understanding of local challenges, he hopes to bring a CorpsAfrica perspective and approach to his volunteering work. He is optimistic and capable of inspiring others. Through his involvement in different activities, he believes he will be able to promote community-led development using locally available resources. He shall serve as a volunteer championing hope and progress. He believes that his dedication and commitment to service and building a better future makes him an asset to CorpsAfrica and an agent of change for aspiring change-makers everywhere. It will be his responsibility to make sure that CorpsAfrica’s core values are truly reflected and have a greater impact on people’s lives. He confirms to serve as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer henceforth.
