I am a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with a profound commitment to empowering individuals, families, and communities to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science in Social Work with credit obtained from the Catholic University of Malawi in 2020. In 2019 I worked with the Malawi Network of Older Persons Organization where I gained valuable skills and experience in advocating for the rights of older persons in Malawi as well as contributing to their inclusion in social economic activities and access to health services. I have worked as a Field Officer voluntarily with Youth Empowerment Towards Development (YETOD) a youth-led community-based organization, this exposed me to the world of volunteering. I worked with youths on issues to do with access to sexual reproductive health, gender-based violence, and environmental conservation. I have worked as a Social Welfare Officer for one year with the Nkhata Bay District Social Welfare Office under the government internship program. As a Social welfare officer, I gained valuable skills and experience in child protection, youth empowerment, community development, child and family welfare, elderly affairs, probation, and re-integration. Working with CorpsAfrica will provide the platform to contribute to the development of communities by allowing communities to take center stage in identifying and solving their problems at the same time fostering sustainability and ownership of the development.
