Gift Kholora holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). He is passionate about eliminating hunger and poverty in rural areas through data-driven agricultural solutions that improve food security and foster sustainable development. Before joining CorpsAfrica, Gift worked as a research assistant for prominent institutions, including Lakeshore Agro Processing Limited (LAPE) Consult, Everest Intelligence Consult (EIC) Limited, and LUANAR’s Department of Research and Outreach. These experiences deepened his understanding of the challenges rural communities face, especially in securing sustainable livelihoods and food security. Gift’s leadership skills were honed during his time in college, where he held various roles, including Vice President of the Bunda Economics Association. In recognition of his dedication and contributions to the field, he was awarded the Bunda Economics Association (BEA) Economist of the Year award in 2024. Growing up in a rural community himself, Gift has a personal connection to the obstacles these communities encounter. He strongly believes that CorpsAfrica’s community-driven approach is the key to empowering rural populations. By utilizing locally available assets and fostering self-reliant development strategies, Gift is confident that sustainable progress and poverty alleviation can be achieved in these regions.
