Kohnemie M’meta is a dedicated advocate for positive social change through community-led development, she is ready to embark on a transformative journey as a CorpsAfrica/Malawi volunteer. With a Political Science degree from the University of Malawi, Kohnemie’s passion for empowering communities has led her to volunteer with organizations like Little Big Prints and Artglo, where she has gained invaluable insights into the challenges faced by the youth in education, health, and employment sectors. Her previous experience as an intern at the National Initiative for Civic Education Malawi and her involvement in the European Union’s Youth Sounding Board has equipped her with a strong foundation in advocacy, collaboration, and democratic processes. She is now eager to deepen her understanding of the Malawian context by immersing herself in a rural community addressing the needs of residents, building meaningful relationships, and developing practical solutions alongside community members. She wants to gain firsthand experience of the challenges and opportunities that exist in rural Malawi. Kohnemie believes her CorpsAfrica experience will pave the way for a rewarding career in community development. The exposure will not only strengthen her professional and leadership skills but also provide her with a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment.
