Jean Nazimera is a degree holder in Bachelor of Science in Human Science and Community Services from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). She is strongly passionate about community development and giving back to the community because she believes that it takes a village to raise a child. She is a product of many hands that worked together to mold the young woman she is today. She did an internship in 2023 at Chiradzulu District Hospital where she focused on assessing the nutritional status of children under-five as well as providing nutrition education to both patients and caregivers. During her university days, she underwent training in data entry and analysis using Stata, SPSS, and GenStat by the Institute for Innovation and Development. Jean was also a member of the Bunda Association of Human Science (BAHUS) club working as a Social Welfare Director which equipped her with leadership skills and enhanced her passion for serving others. She hopes her service as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer will bring about a meaningful impact on the people around her community and across Malawi.
