Devlin is a passionate and driven individual dedicated to making a positive impact in community-led development projects. With a strong belief in the power of grassroots development, Devlin has been involved in various community-based initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life. He has worked with Blantyre District Health Office (DHO) in an initiative to eradicate adult Malnutrition in communities around Chileka, Dziwe, and Chikowa Health centers. The Communities around these health centers were being assisted in a Community Led Feeding program which empowers the community to use their locally available food by teaching them how to prepare and establish back yard garden. Devlin also worked with Chikwawa DHO in several community-led projects like Community Led Total Sanitation and Hygiene in TA Chapananga and Makhwira and Community Led Action for COVID-19 vaccination in the same areas. Having worked on these projects as a facilitator helped him to develop strong skills in communication and leadership. His ability to connect with people from different walks of life allows him to understand their needs and challenges, making him a compassionate advocate for change. Devlin’s commitment to community-led development and sustainable development led him to CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer, where he will work on projects that focus on empowering local communities through skills training, education, and resource management. He believes that true development comes from within communities, and his work is centered around fostering self-reliance and resilience among the people he will serve. In addition to his professional work, Devlin is also passionate about youth empowerment and he was actively involved in mentoring young people, helping them realize their potential and achieve their goals with a small organization called One Malawi from Malamulo and he was one of the Co-founders. His dedication to service, coupled with his strong work ethic and innovative mindset, makes him a valuable asset to any team he works with. Devlin is committed to making a lasting difference in the community deployed and looking forward to learning, growing, and contributing to the greater good with CorpsAfrica.
