UWIRAGIYE Blandine was born and raised in Nyamasheke District, in Rwanda’s Western Province. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, with a focus on Rural Development and Agricultural Economics (RDAE), from the University of Rwanda’s College of Agriculture, Animal Science, and Veterinary Medicine, located at the Busogo campus. Before joining CorpsAfrica, she completed an academic internship with Rwanda Mountain Tea at Gisakura Tea Company Ltd in Nyamasheke District, where she gained hands-on experience, learning the best agricultural practices for optimizing production and minimizing input costs. Additionally, Blandine attended Harambe’s “Problem Solving for Earning” training, where she developed a growth mindset and learned strategies for generating income. She also participated in USAID’s Hanga Akazi (Work Readiness) training, enhancing her leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Moreover, her involvement in the “Beyond Success” program provided her with insights into leadership and personal growth. Blandine has a strong passion for serving her community, particularly supporting vulnerable populations. She believes that serving others helps you become a better person while staying true to yourself.
