MUKUNDE Lys Gabrielle was born and raised in Rwanda, she graduated with her Master’s degree in Social Work from the Institute of Social Work in Tanzania, and in 2021, she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counseling from Bugema University in Uganda. Lys is passionate about serving the community; through the NORHED project, she was sponsored and researched survival strategies and the potential for financial independence among teen mothers in the Huye district. In 2020 Lys researched perceived factors hindering the utilization of reproductive health services among adolescents in Kalagala county in Uganda. In 2022 Lys did her internship at the Huye district office under the Social Protection and Social Development department.in 2018 she did her internship at Ndera Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Rwanda. Lys loves traveling and learning new cultures. Putting her memories and thoughts into writing is one of her favorite things to do, she has written and published 7 stories on Wattpad. Lýs strongly believe in Loyalty and kindness.
