Tigist Mulualem, born in Bichena in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia, has established herself as a dedicated professional with a diverse background in civil engineering and business management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Wolkite University and furthered her education with a degree in Business and Management from Jimma University. Her commitment to professional development is evident through her certifications in AutoCAD and ETABS software, as well as her training in survey techniques and GIZ programs. Passionate about making a difference, Tigist has actively engaged in environmental protection initiatives in her community and has supported inclusive learning and teaching at Belaye Zelke Senior Secondary School. In her career, Tigist has worked in various capacities, including entrepreneurship leadership in road construction to create job opportunities for low-income families, and as a Site Engineer for the construction of a health center at Debre Markos University. Her volunteer work is notable for its focus on teaching and motivating students in a home-to-home capacity, through which she has cultivated empathy, open-mindedness, and respect for others. Tigist embodies the belief that “the one who takes risks is the one rewarded.” Currently, she is contributing her skills and passion as a CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia group two Volunteer. Her journey reflects a strong commitment to both professional excellence and community service.
