Stellah Chelimo is a CorpsAfrica/Kenya Volunteer. She has invaluable experience working with rural communities, focusing on community-led development using an Asset-Based Community Development approach to sustainable development. Stellah has a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Human Ecology Extension from Egerton University and a Certificate in Soil Advocacy from iCow International. She worked with Indigenous Women and Girls Initiatives as an intern, where she trained communities in agroecology and sustainable farming practices. Her expertise encompasses climate change adaptation, food security, and agroecological methods, aimed at improving the well-being of vulnerable populations. Stellah is committed to fostering food security while promoting environmentally friendly farming techniques that mitigate the impacts of drought and famine. Stellah strives to empower communities across Africa through education and innovative sustainable practices. She is passionate about creating a sustainable future where food security is accessible to all. With a strong foundation in research, facilitation, and conflict management, Stellah is well-equipped to contribute to the ongoing development of sustainable systems that support both people and the planet. Besides her professional life, Stellah is hard-working and loves doing charity work, reading, and traveling during her free time.
