Annet Okenga is a 24-year-old individual born in Kakamega County and a graduate of Pan Africa Christian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development. Throughout her academic journey, she has developed a passion for empowering communities, understanding the social dynamics at play, and implementing sustainable solutions that address pressing societal issues. Her studies have equipped her with the knowledge and skills to analyze complex community structures, design impactful programs, and advocate for change at the grassroots level. Annet is deeply committed to promoting social justice, reducing inequalities, and fostering growth in underserved populations. During her time working at the County Government of Kakamega under the Ministry of Social Services, youth, sports, gender, children, and culture from January to April 2024, she developed a particular interest in working with women, youth, and marginalized communities, aiming to elevate their voices and improve their access to opportunities. With a heart for service and a desire to make a difference, she is dedicated to creating lasting positive change in the communities that she engages with. Annet is currently working with CorpsAfrica as a facilitator of community-led development at Nakuru Solai village. Outside her academic achievements, Annet is a curious, proactive, and empathetic individual who enjoys learning from diverse perspectives. She is always looking forward to applying her education and values in real-world settings, making meaningful contributions to community development, and uplifting others along the way.
