Guiding Stars

As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, mentoring youth has become important to me. I’ve learned that knowing, loving, and protecting every child is so important. Working closely with the young members of our society has not only enriched their lives but has also deeply impacted my own.

By using simple methods like sports, I’ve seen how powerful it is to focus on the good things young people are good at. When we help them feel like they belong and have control over their lives, they feel happy and do well.

By being a mentor, I’ve seen how much they can thrive when they feel truly cared for and supported. When we ensure they’re safe and healthy, they can handle tough times better and feel confident about themselves.

Being a youth mentor shows how I put into action the important things I’ve learned as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer. It’s through these strong connections and friendships that we show how much we care about and protect every child in our community.

Youth mentorship stands as a beacon of hope, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to nurturing, supporting, and safeguarding the future leaders of our society.
