Reminisce

Sometimes I like to curl up in my comfortable position and scroll through the videos and photographs, moments captured while spending time with my fellow volunteers.

A smile escapes my lips unknowingly, and a deep sense of belonging overwhelms me, leaving me amused at how attached one can get to strangers they met just the other day.

It comes with great comfort to know we are all doing our very best in our areas of deployment, and they are all trying to make a difference despite our shortcomings.

The still pictures bring back moments when we shared our doubts, fears, frustrations, and also joy, success, and accomplishments. It baffles me how humans gravitate towards each other based on both similar and unfamiliar qualities and traits.

Those moments brighten up the worst of days and give hope. Of a better future. Of a better us.

Cheers, team!
