Salume Atuko is a trained Human Resource Officer with experience in Human Resource Management and Administration. Atsuko is a highly dedicated, self-motivated individual with knowledge, experience, and hands-on skills in Human Resource Information Systems (HRMIS), employee record management, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and human resource administration. Atuko is committed to staying updated with the latest practices and technologies in the human resources industry through participating in training and mentorship programs. Atuko loves to volunteer and give back to the community to make the world a better place. Atuko served in Jjalamba village in Mpigi district, Central Uganda (2024) and is currently an Exchange Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda. During her service, Salume has facilitated the formation of two community groups that are involved in income-generating enterprises through savings mobilization, liquid soap making, commercial vegetable growing, poultry, and piggery. Her work is evidenced in over 35 households that have adopted kitchen vegetable gardening and the use of energy-saving cook stoves. The two community groups have mobilized savings which they have used to invest in small income generating projects. Salume worked with the Jjalamba youth to set up a youth bakery project. By volunteering at local charities, shelters, or community organizations, she believes she will directly impact the lives of others and contribute to the betterment of society. She is also passionate about donating to causes and starting fundraising campaigns to address social issues.
