“Communities from Chitete Village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Simon in Neno District say access to potable water is crucial in saving them from waterborne diseases and crocodiles attacks that continuously endangered their lives when fetching water from the Shire River.
Village head Patson made the remarks on Monday when Corps Africa handed over a borehole to his community aimed at improving sanitation in the area.
‘We are happy that apart from improving sanitation in our area our lives are also spared from the crocodile death traps at the Shire River,’ he said.
CorpsAfrica volunteer in the area, Emas Potolani, said his organisation through Easy Borehole Drilling Company felt duty bound to drill the borehole to rescue communities from water-borne diseases…”
