Edith Nyawira, a distinguished graduate in Gender and Development Studies, proudly represents Nairobi, Kenya. Her unwavering dedication to spreading awareness about mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and menstrual hygiene is truly commendable which she put into practice during her time in the Young Women Christian Association and Maono Center of Transformation. She later served as a CorpsAfrica/Kenya Volunteer facilitating a project that empowered the community financially and economically. Using her project management skills, she managed to do a project on 2 class renovation and procurement of learning infrastructures. Edith’s passion for promoting inclusivity and equity is deeply rooted in her belief that every individual deserves equal opportunities to flourish and lead fulfilling lives. She possesses exceptional knowledge and expertise in gender and development studies, which she utilizes to create better communities. Her motivation lies in her commitment to improving the lives of those around her, as she aspires to bring about positive change in our world. Now an Exchange Volunteer in Ethiopia, Edith continues to drive positive change with her passion for inclusivity and equity, striving to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
