Project Overview

The High-Atlas Mountains Irrigation Aqueduct project is a collaborative endeavor between CorpsAfrica Maroc, Rotary San Carlos, CorpsAfrica HQ, and Rotary Majorelle Marrakech, with a strong emphasis on community involvement. CorpsAfrica volunteers integrated deeply with the local communities, engaging in discussions and social activities to understand their needs and perspectives. This project, driven by the community itself, aims to enhance the resident’s quality of life by improving water infrastructure, essential for their livelihoods, including almond and walnut tree farming. Meetings, community engagement, and feedback were integral to shaping the project. An action plan, with details for a Rotary International Grant Application, emerged from these efforts. Regular updates and feedback to Rotary San Carlos ensured transparent communication. This project demonstrates the power of community-
driven initiatives and collaboration.
