Josephine Babamonwe Dungayere earned her first degree in Social Sciences, with a major in BA Religious Studies as a MasterCard Scholar at KNUST in 2021. In school, she served as a women’s commissioner for the Religious Studies students and associates, RESSA-KNUST. Her journey of impact started in 2018 as a MasterCard scholar when she had the opportunity to give back to her community in various forms, ranging from organizing career guidance programs for SHS, menstrual hygiene programs, and skills training for women and youth. Before CorpsAfrica/Ghana, she served as a fellow in LFG where she facilitated the English language as a tutor for basics 7-9 at Lamashegu JHS, Tamale. While working in the role, Josephine Babamonwe was able to coordinate the donation of new uniforms, a pair of shoes, and a knapsack bag each for 20 needy pupils in the school. Additionally, she worked with her colleague fellow and coordinated the donation of 20 student desks (3 seater) to the school to facilitate teaching and learning. Josephine is a passionate driver of social change through volunteerism, promoting SDGs 3,4,5 and 10. Through her journey of volunteering and community service, she came to understand the challenges faced by underserved communities and marginalized individuals, hence her motivation to be dedicated to advocacy for inclusivity and equality while contributing her quota towards rural development and lifting communities for the best.
