Jeanne d’Arc Irankunda was born and raised in Rwanda. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences from the University of Rwanda, class 2022. She is a young, dynamic person dedicated to serving her community. Before joining CorpsAfrica, Jeanne d’Arc conducted her academic internship at various hospitals including Rwanda Military Hospital (RMH), University Teaching Hospital of Butare (CHUB), and other different hospitals in Rwanda. While she was doing her studies she served as a student nurse volunteer, during the COVID-19 pandemic she was on a team of mass vaccination and testing nurses from 2021 to 2022. After completing her studies she worked as a COVID vaccinator nurse at Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC). Moreover, she took part in a professional internship at Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) from 2022 until July 2023. Jeanne d’Arc believes that volunteering with CorpsAfrica will give her the experience that she needs to understand more about public health and working together with communities.
