Gisele Uwineza was born in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in the Faculty of Public Health and Human Nutrition Department of Public Health with honors from the Catholic University of Rwanda. She is passionate and believes in promoting the health of the community. Gisele served as an intern at the Rwanda Biomedical Center in the Division of MCCH, which has the mandate of coordinating all health interventions and initiatives related to maternal and child health in Rwanda. Gisele worked with UNICEF/Rwanda and Primson Management Services as a data collector in midline and end-line surveys on girls’ education in different districts of Rwanda. She worked as a Volunteer in a Health Promotion Organization where promoting the health of the population was a priority. Gisele is a member of the Association des Guides du Rwanda which has a goal of encouraging girls and young women to be an agents of positive change within their communities in Rwanda and around the world, Moreover, as a community-led development facilitator with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda from 2023 to 2024, Gisele worked with the community in implementing impactful projects and earned a certificate of completion, She holds a First Aid certificate from the Rwanda Red Cross. Gisele graduated from Young African Leaders Initiatives (YALI) where she gained leadership and civic engagement skills enhanced her ability to contribute to sustainable community development and earned certificates of completion.
